Early Career GP Support Scheme

What We Offer

We have designed a support scheme to replace the national new to practice fellowship which closed to new entrants on 31 March 2024.

Our scheme offers six sessions of free coaching with experienced, trained GP coaches for up to 12 months. Each session is designed to provide personalised coaching, career conversations and professional interaction discussions, to help ensure the right support is provided to help early career GPs thrive in their role.

Members of the Early Career GP Support Scheme can also attend a programme of free education sessions and are designed with the early career GP in mind. Education sessions are held on a monthly basis on a Tuesday and alternate between afternoons and evenings. Topics covered include appraisal, time management, wellbeing, coroner’s inquests and more.

We also host a WhatsApp group for early career GPs and this is an ideal forum to build connections, share opportunities and receive the latest updates from what is on offer in Nottinghamshire for early career GPs.

We currently only work with Nottinghamshire GPs but are happy to speak to other organisations to see if we can support early career GPs in other areas.

If you work in Nottinghamshire please register with us to sign up for this scheme or contact us if you're outside of Nottinghamshire.
